Nick Lachey Knows Better

The INOBTR team first approached Nick Lachey about helping to launch this Internet safety campaign in early 2006. He was immediately interested and wanted to know more about the program and what he could do to help.

The answer? A lot!

Nick is now a key part of the INOBTR team, serving as a celebrity spokesperson and advocate, to help spread the word about Internet safety in Missouri. You will see him on billboards, on television, in newspapers and online. Plus, Nick will make special appearances throughout the year in the state of Missouri.

Nick Lachey is dedicated to making a difference and helping kids stay safe online. The fact is this is an issue that is close to his heart! Nick uses the Internet everyday, and just like his fans, he knows it can be a fantastic resource. But it can quickly become a dangerous outlet. Sometimes the difference between benefit and risk is not always clear.

An innocent profile on a social network like MySpace can become an open invitation to an online predator or cyberbully. It shouldn’t be that way, but it is. So what can you do? Follow Nick’s example and get involved! INOBTR is all about information and action, about staying smart and staying safe!
